Roster news and rumors
The market never stops moving.
This week's main headline belongs to Guild Eagles, as the organization decided to part ways with the entire team. Shortly after, rigoN announced that he would be leaving the orgless squad.
But wait, there’s more. Just hours after rigoN’s announcement, juanflatroo and gxx- also revealed their decision to abandon the team. Bad news, Eagles.
Fun fact: The ex-BNE and then Guild Eagles lineup have played together for 1000 days, battling through a total of 578 maps. The disbandment marks the end of one of the longest-standing teams in CS. End of an era.
Speaking of eras, let’s talk about BIG (said no one, ever). After burning through 10 players in just 12 months due to lackluster results, the team has decided to shake up the coaching ranks. Gob b is leaving the org, and if you get the feeling he’s been there for ages, well, you are right. He co-founded BIG in 2017, having represented the org both as a player and as a coach.
So, what’s the next step for gob b? G2 could probably need him. Just throwing it out there.
NA’s golden child is also making headlines with potential changes on the horizon. With hallzerk’s contract nearing its end, Complexity’s GM refused to say whether the AWPer has signed a new deal or not. “Hopefully, we will have some news very soon about the future of the AWP position on the team,” Graham Pitt teased.
On a (not so) smaller note, Metizport has announced the transfer of susp to another team, along with some of the details behind the move. In their statement, Metiz disclosed that the player was sold “for a 6-digit number with a potential package close to 7 (NOK)”, which translates to nearly 86.000 euros or 93.300 dollars.
Big bucks for the Norwegian club.
