fnatic roster update
Finally, fnatic have a boisterous, swaggering star befitting of the fnatic tag.
This is an org known for their arrogant dominance back in the day, with players like JW, flusha and olofmeister kind of just taking the Mickey out of their fellow competitors.
blameF isn’t as good as olofmeister was back then – nor is he as aggressive – but he’s got that self-assuredness and ability that has been missing from fnatic for the longest time.
blameF is, obviously, a mechanical monster. He’s a stable superstar capable of dragging bad teams up the ranks and good teams into the top 10, which is basically what fnatic are looking for right now. No matter what you think of him, that has to be better than the passive acceptance of failure that fnatic fans had somewhat become accustomed to.
This is undoubtedly a big upgrade over kyuubii, and should turn fnatic into a team at least worth noting in event round-ups instead of the footnote they’d become.
What it makes their ceiling is as of yet undefined; even the biggest blameF fan would suggest this team isn’t likely to be winning trophies and that this is merely a stepping stone for him to go back to the top 5.
The biggest hater might suggest him taking fnatic to the top 10 would be about the best he can do, and he’ll get figured out then - and that this is his level.
The truth probably lies somewhere in the middle. blameF is probably better than this version of fnatic, though market forces might suggest otherwise.
What is certain is that blameF WILL be baiting again—though, to be fair on Fnatic, it’s hard to blame him.
