Grayhound fold
You know when they tell you that a puppy isn’t just for Christmas?
Grayhound staff have told their players that their dog was just for the Majors.
After dexter and company failed miserably in the Asia RMR, the company has ceased operations.
Just like that; no sticker money, no party, we guess.
Oceanic CS is in a hell of a (20-year-long) slump, but they always had the ‘easy’ Asia RMR to rely on to get five players some sticker money at the very least. Plus, they had jks getting carried to trophies by NiKo and m0NESY.
Now, they have neither.
When Grayhound, who dominated back home in Australia, can be made to look so amateur by Lynn Vision and TheMongolz it spells real trouble for the scene as a whole.
There’s plenty of reasons for the decline. ESIC, for wrongful bans, and ESL, for pulling out of some regional cups, get plenty of blame but the talent and local competition just isn’t there.
Grayhound’s roster will stick together, for what it’s worth. And SPUNJ posted this cryptic tweet in the aftermath — Vox Eminor, inc? — but there’s no denying Australian CS is deep into it’s dark age.
Hopefully there’s some light at the end of the beer snake.
