With Legacy rapidly falling down the rankings, they've made the decision to bench n1ssim and sign ksloks as a stand-in for the remainder of the season
Although it might be partially spurred on by arT's unfortunate bout of meningitis, Legacy are in something of a slump after a strong start to the second season of 2026.
To aid this, they've now benched n1ssim, after exiting PGL Masters Bucharest with a 1-3 recored in the Swiss stage.
The team had previously tried to bench n1ssim following their early exit from the IEM Cologne Major, but the anchor was reinstated when no suitable replacement was found. However, with ksloks now available to stand-in until the end of the year, n1ssim can finally take that step back.
Wait... who?
Legacy's new nobody
ksloks - for everyone who, like us, is unitiated - was most recently seen turning out for Turma do Pagode, a team made up of the former core of ODDIK, you know, that really bad team that would occassional pop up to be banged out of events in true South American fashion.
Depsite ODDIK being pretty pants, the 21-year-old has decent numbers for 2026, as he sits as the highest-rated player on Turma do Pagode on 1.14. However, this number drops significantly to 1.00 against top 50 opponents, and further still to 0.95 against top 30 opponents. Whilst some of that drop off will likely be mitigated by Legacy simply being a better team, ksloks will have to step up a level to cut it at tier one.
Sadly, unless ksloks does somehow hit the ground running, this likely spells the end of Legacy being considered a threat in 2026. The team has taken a serious momentum knock following arT's illness, and now needed to bed in a new player is possibly the worst thing they could have to do as they try to get back on track.
That said, they do have both IEM Beijing and BLAST Rivals Hong Kong to bed their new man in before the PGL Major Singapore. Hopes were previously high for Legacy at the upcoming Major, so we'll get a better idea of whether or not those hopes are dashed as CS heads to Asia following the culmination of the action in Romania.
But look, at the end of the day, this is only a stand-in.
Hopefully, it's only a stand-in because Legacy - unlike paiN, who seem to enjoy signing the first sh-tter who knows on their door - realise that insani will soon be available, and they can just sign him to fire them back up the rankings in the new year.
That, ksloks will have a two-month long honeymoon period... in which case we give him precisely three months to f-ck it up in 2027.
