…and just like that, the whole country of Sweden raises their eyebrows. NIP might just have gotten their attention again.

It’s not a Swedish superteam per se - not least because ‘Swedish superteam is something of an oxymoron - but one of the best players in the country might be on his way back home.

isak is reportedly out of GamerLegion (being replaced by FL4MUS - us neither) to head to NIP to fill their last remaining spot, which just about makes them Swedish team again. We’re sure the fans will come flooding back now.

You can read that as sarcastic, or completely sincere, depending on what happens.

One might be wondering why isak would downgrade, and there’s three points to make there. One is that if NIP do pay him (Nothing in Paypal etc), it’ll be more than what GamerLegion can muster. Two is that we haven’t seen NIP at full strength yet, and maybe without stand-ins they’ll be good.

Thirdly, however, it is a harumi rumour, so take it with a pinch of salt.

We’ll be honest, we’re not expecting anything massive from this team. NIP have promised that by 2025 they’ll be championship contenders, but that seems like, if we’re being kind, wishful thinking.

Maybe at ESL Challenger events they could.

isak is a very good player, but this team needs more than very good players. isak as the third or fourth best player on a team could be pretty solid, but for this team to be top five it needs REZ, maxster or r1nkle to be a superstar.

It’s possible, but so is a TLDR staff member going on a date with Anya Taylor-Joy wearing our own merch. Neither is going to happen.

Probably.
