100T LAN debut
To some they might be outdated, overrated, or outright hated, but man have we been waiting for this.
The focal point of what little rostermania we had in the 2025 winter off-season, 100 Thieves, have finally made their LAN debut. Play started on Friday, and very quickly the doubters scored their first win.
Armchair analysts were shouting for heads to roll, like always, after a 2-13 thrashing from NIP, but they’d get a chance at revenge in the decider game later that night.
We woke up the next day as if it was Christmas morning, excited to peek at what gifts the man with the long beard had left us in our slumber. Except instead of Santa Claus, that man is messioso, and instead of disappointing gifts from our parents, we actually felt pretty good about it.
A victory in a three map thriller was a refreshing sight, and it gave them a spot in the quarter-finals. Here they’d face BetBoom, and despite an overtime victory on Nuke the Russian side proved to be stronger in what was ultimately a one-sided loss. Baby steps, guys.
In the end, the wins are good to have, and some of the younger players had strong series, but they aren’t quite there yet. Most of their map losses were slaughters and, well, device wasn’t really beating the allegations.
We have some notes, but we’ll give the burglars a C- on their debut.
Let’s see if you do better next time.
