Finally, olof is getting his dues.

Somehow, despite being inducted into the HLTV Hall of Fame this week, he’s somewhat underrated. Peak olof was a tour de force a la donk or NiKo at his best, and for our money, way better than coldzera or f0rest.

Maybe it’s because little Timmies only remember his never-ending will they won’t they with FaZe Clan, or it’s because his last game was against ‘Pak Boyz’, which sounds like a band they’d come up with on X Factor out of solo acts who got eliminated.

In the last game of his illustrious career, playing in the truly incredible BLAST The Draft, olofmeister went negative for WahWah against Pak Boyz. Just writing that makes us incredibly sad. We promise, he was amazing at one point.

His first game in CS:GO wasn’t all that much better, where his SMBU side lost to a Finnish team with Allu and natu on it (the golden rule at any point in Counter-Strike is never play Finns on Train), but at least his CS 1.6 debut was pretty solid.

We knew he’d be good in one of them.

His team Lions, back in WCG 2009 Sweden, won a BO3 1-0 (that’s not a typo, by the way) over Aquintra. olof 30-bombed the second map which finished 15-15 (woke!) to confirm the 1-0 win, but there’s a lot of other cool details here.

pronax topfragged the lobby, which didn’t happen much in CS:GO, and Xizt was on the team with both pronax and olof, with THREAT on the other side. Lions had a Hungarian player called t3h f4rm3r - it was that era of the internet - and there was even a sighting of the lesser-seen Swedish niko.

Between playing with t3h f4rm3r and losing to Pak Boyz, he was electric and a two-time Major winner, once MVP. It’s just not every story has a great ending.
