CPH MAJOR, QUARTER 1
It turns out having an AWPer is better than not having one.
At least, that’s one way to view this series. The other is that Vitality are just man-for-man, better.
It wasn’t even ZywOo who dropped the hammer on Cloud9; when C9 moved to their own pick, Anubis (for some reason), it was flameZ who went supernova to smash them to bits.
Quite why they picked Anubis into Vitality is… well, anyone’s guess. Genuinely. As good as C9 are, it’s one of Vitality’s strongest maps, if not their strongest, and you just don’t want to play them on it.
Well we don’t, anyway.
Neither it seems did Cloud9, who made it a very quick affair. Boombl4 wasn’t hitting his shots, but we had to wait 12 rounds for an electroNic moment as he scythed down four, but that was the only C9 moment in a sea of Vitality dominance.
The Russians couldn’t find a single pistol round, and it hurt them badly. They picked up six early on in Inferno, but couldn’t find any momentum after that point and collapsed. ZywOo put a dagger in their heart in the second pistol with a clinical P250 headshot, and from there it was downhill.
On Anubis, flameZ tore through the C9 defence time and time again. He picked up doubles and triples as he teamed up with mezii to waltz through bombsites and cruise into the semi-finals.
FaZe or Spirit await.
