FURIA vs. Aurora recap
It’s been an eventful couple of weeks for soulfly as he has settled into Aurora. He got his first taste of playing Nuke, winning matches both online and in a LAN group stage, and as of last night he has completed the true Aurora experience with another achievement.
Completely screwing up a stage match.
Despite having a big part to play in the team’s group stage wins against Falcons and MOUZ, the Turkish side’s new signing dropped a bit of a stinker in front of the Kraków crowd, ending the game’s two maps on six and seven frags each.
If a picture of magixx just appeared in your head, let us know which colour crayons taste the best.
Really, nobody was particularly on for Aurora last night. And if you thought good calling could make up for bad fragging, you must be forgetting what the IGL matchup was in this series.
Aurora actually brought the first map, Dust2, quite close to a 5-7 half from the CT-side, but if you needed any indication of who is the brighter tactical mind between MAJ3R and FalleN you need look no further. After switching sides, Aurora were unable to win more than two T-side rounds before the first map was over.
Mirage ended up being a bloodbath as FURIA ran away with a T-side score of 9-3 before closing the map 13-4, with former playoff choker, current playoff baller, KSCERATO ending the series with 46 total frags. There really is almost no limit to the depth of talent FURIA have.
For Aurora, it’s a new year, a new lineup, and a new city, yet one thing remains the same:
When the lights shine brightest, Aurora never come out on top.
