Rumours suggest Snappi could be heading to the project.

Virtus.pro win online, NIP look to warmer climates and Vitality might’ve just found a shining star in a not so shining team.
FalleN doesn’t beat BIG.
Eight times in a row now, tabseN has gotten the better of the big man. Spanning four different teams, BIG have felled him over and over, and though the Thunderpick World Championship might not have been the worst one to lose, it still must have stung.
Heroic won both of their games despite the roster issues, but FURIA with their full-strength roster needed to beat BIG in a decider, having already lost to them earlier on.
Complexity’s bubble was burst not long after IEM Sydney, as they lost a deciding series to MOUZ, with both losing to the spooky Team Spirit, who might be the world’s scariest bunch of trick or treaters these days.
zont1x stepped it up against MOUZ and looked like a superstar, and there’s no doubt about how good donk is. We can’t imagine any team wants to come up against them right now. But Monte awaits as the quarter finals of Thunderpick begins today.
Over in Roobet Cup, FURIA didn’t find much joy either.
Not just because they lost, but also because they had to play against Virtus.pro in the semis, which is enough to bore even someone who enjoys Formula One.
BIG found themselves being dumped out by perennial banana skin Aurora, but the Russians were dealt with handily by Monte in the other semi-final. As you can imagine, VP outlasted a plucky underdog and 2-0’d them in the final.
The final standings at Roobet were:
🇷🇺 Virtus.pro – $150.000
🇺🇦 Monte - $50.000
🇧🇷 FURIA - $15.000
🇷🇺 Aurora – $15.000

How do you replace someone like Magisk? You’d have to look at a top 5 team in the world, surely. Wrong. You just steal Fnatic’s best player.
Thanks to BLAST’s registration, we knew mezii was Vitality’s newest signing, before fnatic even had the chance to announce it.
fnatic has been the textbook definition of average since dexter took over in the summer but with one major positive: mezii. The Brit has been electric since being freed from the IGL role, taking a flexible rifle role and fragging out. His rating over the last 2 months is a solid 1.11 and he’s single-handedly carried fnatic at their last 2 events.
mezii’s stats aren’t the only reason Vitality wanted him though.
Replacing Magisk is quite the task. He plays an incredibly difficult role as the flexible rifler on Vitality’s T-side and does it well. You need experience and great mechanics to pull that off and we can only count to a few pros in tier 1 with that pedigree: Twistzz, huNter, dycha, Magisk and mezii. We’re probably forgetting someone, but our point stands (reply and correct us, dare you).
There’s a really good overlap in what mezii can do, and what Magisk was doing. It even shows in the stats.
If you then also take into account the loyalty and reliability mezii has shown during his two-year tenure at fnatic, suddenly you understand why Vitality might be tapping him to join the team. He just fits every criteria.
We won’t lie, this is all 20/20 hindsight.
When there are rumours of Twistzz going around, you don’t think of mezii as a similar player. But when there’s a top replacement, in a not-so-top team, why not go for it?
fnatic might be done for, but Vitality have done a great job recruiting. Good luck replacing him fnatic.
Vitality’s lineup at BLAST Fall Final:
🇫🇷 ZywOo
🇫🇷 apEX
🇮🇱 flameZ
🇮🇱 Spinx
🇬🇧 mezii

Replacing aizyesque is like replacing Magisk - it requires a very specific set of skills. An inability to conform, fierce conviction and an intimate knowledge of the best places to get a burger.
We asked Gordon Ramsay, but he was busy. So this week Logan rides solo and gets into:
“We made a mistake in the plan of how we started the season. I felt like I had no power when I came back. You always had to compromise with the coach or the performance coach and so on.”
That’s what hampus told the newly minted Dust2.se just weeks after NIP benched him.
But don’t worry — there’s a new structure in place. THREAT is in as GM, and priority No. 1 is to get a roster where the roles actually make sense.
The last one, of course, had four riflers that wanted to play A on Overpass (and an AWPer who would also rather be rifling A on Overpass). So yeah, five players that want to play in Toilets. Good plan!
But they’ve backed that um… ambitious project in. And, to go forward, sometime you have to take a step back.
NIP have recalled es3tag from the bench as a ready-made supportive element in place of Brollan. Not exciting, but maybe necessary — and definitely cost-effective.
In place of hampus, they’ve gone south to Spain and picked up alex from Movistar Riders.
The roles now fit: REZ and k0nfig as the star riflers, and alex and es3tag as supports.
Because of that, the question has shifted: Were REZ and k0nfig performing badly because of roles, in-game leaders, or simply because of the passage of time?
If they can be star riflers in 2023, they now have the environment to prove it.
If they can’t, NIP may keep their revolving door reputation for a while yet.
NIP’s new roster:
🇪🇸 alex
🇸🇪 REZ
🇺🇦 headtr1ck
🇩🇰 k0nfig
🇩🇰 es3tag
