s1mple secured the bag for just one game.

Liquid and Falcons continue to bomb out all over the shop, cheaters run amok in qualifiers and the roster shuffle begins. Sort of.

You ever just sign the GOAT at huge cost for a one off best of three?
That’s what Falcons have done, after signing s1mple on loan for a month (they have no other tournaments this month) only to lose in the first round of BLAST Spring Showdown
Richard Lewis dives into there being more to the move than in the server, but realistically this is still an utter failure.
s1mple, on the rifle, had just a 0.94 rating, and was outshot by what is essentially NIP’s old academy led by starlet nilo and fnatic failure jackinho.
Sportswashing works best as a distraction.
The Qatar world cup is remembered for the Messi-Mbappe final as much as the corruption and the human rights issues.
But Falcons? So far they’re coming out of the tumble dryer with more dirt than they went in with.
s1mple surely won’t stay. So what’s next?
Our money is on blameF arriving — because that’s exactly what Counter-Strike’s least popular team needs. We can hear the boos from here.
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.
Team Liquid won’t be at the Major.
It had to be one of Liquid or Complexity going out, which you probably already knew if you opened Monday’s newsletter, but it’s still an embarrassing result for a team that spent so much money.
A team that spent that much money and decided it would be easier to play in the Americas RMR than the European one, so signed skullz over another European, by the way. You can complain about bad seeding if you want, but they tried to get an easier path on purpose.
This is, undoubtedly, funny.
Is it sad that Twistzz and NAF are missing the Major, that a big team is losing out on their easy path to a bunch of money to keep themselves alive, that cadiaN isn’t in the Royal Arena?
We know we’re supposed to say yes, but… honestly, no.
There’s been back-and-forth about whether or not the format is a problem, and while it isn’t ideal, maybe Team Liquid should have won a game with their multi-million dollar team against either FURIA or Complexity.
Neither of them are that good, really.
And anyway, if Liquid are so good that they deserve to be at the Major, they might have beaten SAW, or at least not been dogwalked by them on map three.
The Americas teams that made it to the Major:
🇧🇷 FURIA
🇧🇷 Imperial
🇺🇸 Complexity
🇧🇷 Legacy
🇧🇷 paiN

We’ve gone Americas RMR crazy, because it was some of the most fun we’ve had in Counter-Strike in a while. Are Liquid as bas we think? Are paiN any good? Who knows. Who cares?
We’re post RMR, and the air is thick with the echo of broken dreams. It’s time to reinvent and you know what that means: Rostermania has slowly begun:
NRG is due to sign Walco and finally put daps in a coaching role
Seriously, how did this take so long? The team looked terrible and was not ready to be a cohesive 5 man. daps simply isn’t the level on the server. If Walco is, that’s an entire different question, but at least the coach gets to coach.
500 did the opposite, moving coach Grashog onto the server
500 have been struggling ever since losing Rainwaker. They crashed down so hard that when Rainwaker came back, it still looked bad. So the team has moved coach Grashog back into the team probably in hopes of bringing the fragging back out of SHiPZ. So far, they’ve won all 3 games they’ve played since making the change.
try is looking to come back, slightly too late to call Aguero his boss
try was one of 9z’s headline players but after barely a year, he left the active roster due to health issues. Now he’s back and better trying to find a new home. If only he had announced his return a bit sooner.
KRÜ, the Esports team backed by pro footballer Sergio Aguero, have picked up their first CS roster. The Argentine roster is mostly unremarkable to anyone outside of their scene, but with investors like Messi, odds are they’ll get some eyes now.

If you, like us, are in high ELO in Premier (8000+), you’ve probably seen your fair share of cheaters. Don’t worry, though, you’re not alone.
You really thought we were going to say “don’t worry. It’s being fixed.”, didn’t you? Sorry.
It turns out cheaters aren’t just an issue for the layperson. For every very important 200 ELO we’ve lost to a wallhacker, a pro team has lost in a qualifier for a big event.
We’d say that’s about equal.
JW was complaining - quite fairly, in our opinion - about playing against cheaters by the name of KamKom, which even sounds like a bad Chinese knock-off video game console. He not only alleges they cheated, but they also got banned.
Except - after the game with EYEBALLERS, who were already out. Which doesn’t seem very fair.
Devilwalk says the same happened to his team a year ago, and zipeL too. It’s a real issue, and one that TaZ thinks is to do with admins being afraid of making the correct decision.
If you’re still unconvinced about the cheating problem, watch these clips from Team Secret IGL Maze on a different team.
Cheaters are everywhere, and Valve - and the TOs - need to do something before it ruins the game.
