Or, erm, the studio. Very cool.

kassad is making money moves, HEROIC are taking gambles and evil people never prosper, except when they do for a bit.
One man's trash is another man's roster change.
kassad’s vanity project BLEED has signed yet more players in their ever-ongoing quest to be relevant. This time they've signed the usable remnants of Apeks, jkaem and nawwk. They'll be replacing VLDN and CeRq, who have both been fine we suppose. It's not like anyone is up in arms about them being benched.
Is this the move that'll actually get BLEED in the top 30? You know what, maybe.
Nawwk has proved to be quite a nifty AWPer, spawning free nawwk conversations during Apeks’… Worse times let's say. Quite an impressive rebound from the NIP incident. Meanwhile, jkaem is a certain type of CS hipster’s messiah, and we reckon he's pretty good.
That being said, we shouldn’t forget what team we’re talking about.
The bar isn’t that high for this move to work for BLEED, none of their rosters have achieved much of anything. Their biggest achievement is arguably making it out of the Thunderpick World Championship qualifier, and that speaks for it self really. If nawwk and jkaem can even get them out of the open qualifier for the next Major, this move will have been worth it four times over.
So, for Counter-Strike’s sake, let this work out. After a certain point, being just okay gets really boring.
HEROIC needed an AWPer.
They had one, ish — but nicoodoz barely even used the gun.
nicoodoz took hybrid primary AWPing to a 2019 nitr0-level and, at the start of CS2, boy was it working.
He had a 1.27 rating online for Preasy and looked like an up-and-coming superstar, nothing like the mediocre fnatic AWPer we all remembered.
But on HEROIC, as the AWP got back into meta, nico could not keep up. He bought the AWP more, but that didn’t result in frags. It just meant we saw more whiffs.
The man they have coming in to replace him should not have that problem.
degster had been benched on OG for what feels like forever, but was dominant on the Big Green for Spirit and OG in CS:GO.
Why then, has he had to wait so long for a new team? Well, put it like this. We’ve heard he’s not the nicest teammate*.* Plus he’s Russian. That doesn’t help.
But nice doesn’t win trophies. Talent does.
And HEROIC have taken the gamble nobody else dared to.
It is one that, on paper, elevates a team that lacked firepower but clearly had a great backbone with the sjuush-TeSeS duo, kyxsan and sAw on tactics, and NertZ up front.
Make the personalities gel, and HEROIC will be a team to watch.

It turns out that if you take the best group stage team in the world, and remove the arena bit where they normally choke, they’re just the best team in the world.
MOUZ have always brought down the hammer on anyone who dares test them in groups, and with no big scary crowd to stop them, they did exactly the same at Pro League.
Up against them in the final was Vitality, who’d been powered by a ZywOo performance that also, we’re assured, had nothing to do with the fact there was no crowd. ZywOo was absolutely ridiculous all the way until he met MOUZ, where he was… fine.
We guess. It certainly wasn’t his fault they lost.
They kinda just got shafted, honestly. xertioN was near-unstoppable, siuhy outclassed apEX in nearly every way possible, torzsi outdid ZywOo, mezii looked completely lost… it was a tornado of things going wrong for Vitality.
There’s little else to say about that game that isn’t ‘MOUZ good lol’, so we think it’s worth mentioning that the bad guys won in Astralis vs Liquid, as cadiaN was forced to shake the hands of his killers - and his reported kickers, as it were - Jabbi and stavn.
They then lost to Vitality in heartbreaking fashion, though, while MOUZ pulled off a comeback against coL to go from 0-1 to 2-1.
MOUZ, it turns out, are the best team in the world. As long as there’s no fans or arenas, and there’s lots of kebab shops nearby. Otherwise, it might be Eternal Fire.
