And we’re not even being sarcastic.

The MongolZ and TYLOO have some of their best days in a long time, NRG look competent again, SAW shock everyone and Housebets shock… nobody.

In a recent edition of your favourite newsletter, we wrote about a roster move that left us feeling nothing at all. In this edition, we’ll talk about a roster rumour that has us absolutely baffled.
There’s been talks of Gentle Mates entering the CS scene recently, and if you don’t know who they are, they were founded as a VALORANT team in 2023. So they’ve finally decided to play a real game.
A French organisation, many expected them to enter CS by signing a French team, with at least a core of 3DMAX players being the most likely. And those expectations are seemingly being met.
However, this story isn’t as simple as five players going from one org to the other. Because it can’t be that easy, can it?
According to KRL, Gentle Mates will apparently be picking up Graviti, Lucky, and Ex3rcice from 3DMAX. Solid choices, even if we’re a little confused why they wouldn’t go for Maka, but that’s not the strange part.
The strange part is that the French trio will apparently be joined by ash, of GamerLegion fame, and wait for it… siuhy.
That’s right, after pushing GamerLegion to a Major final and MOUZ to number one in the world, siuhy is somehow going to end up on a team with a guy that wasn’t good enough for G2 in 2019. Right.
Look, there are some positives to this. We were a bit harsh on him then, but Lucky has now proved himself at a tier one level. Graviti might not have shown it yet, but he has potential to be a star, and ash and siuhy reuniting could be just as good as it was the first time.
But seriously? Is this the best siuhy can get after all he’s done in the past two years?
We’re not sure whether we’re the ones missing something, and maybe that MOUZ break up revealed some things behind the scenes that we’re not privy to, but how aren’t a number of elite teams offering the most promising IGL in the world a blank cheque?
How is this an opportunity they deem acceptable to miss out on?
Along with the fact that no one knows who the fifth player would be, and the fact that we have no obvious answers considering they would need to be an AWPer, we’re baffled by this rumour, and we kinda hope it stays as one.
It’s been a good week to be an Asian CS enjoyer.
Make the most of it, because this does NOT come around very often.
The MongolZ have been made national athletes of Mongolia, an honour rarely bestowed upon esports players for… honestly, pretty obvious reasons, meaning they are paid by the government to play Counter-Strike.
Try and cut that funding, DOGE.
This is off the back of them having a really successful year or so in Counter-Strike and being clearly the best team to ever come out of the region, and it’s always nice to see a team rewarded for their hard work - especially a team as likeable as The MongolZ.
The picture of the players in their playing shirts and jeans next to government officials in suits is great, too. Really outlines the absurdity.
But honestly? Good for them. Esports will continue to grow in legitimacy thanks to deals like this, and while CS players are probably not going to be funded by the government any time soon in the US or France, it’s a cool step.
Fair play, MongolZ. Just don’t let up now.

It’s the year 2025. Randy Orton is a face, John Cena is a heel, and Pro League is actually fun to watch.
If we were betting men, we’d have lost a lot of fucking money.
Seriously though, thank God for the Swiss system. It’s turned everyone’s least favourite tournament into a watchable affair. And that must be a miracle.
There’s been upsets, stomps, and a game impossible to know the outcome of by scoreboard alone, but the best thing about it? TYLOO aren’t just in it, they’re coming for The MongolZ’s crown.
Ever since The MongolZ rose to power, there’s been a lot of talk of how the time of Asian CS is almost upon us, aizyesque even predicted that an Asian team not named The MongolZ would make a big event playoffs this year on the podcast, but we’ll be honest, we didn’t think that would happen so soon.
Well, it might not happen, but this TYLOO team are really good. JamYoung is currently the highest rated player at the event, and Moseyuh is also popping off, so with the Chinese team set for a 2-0 match against GamerLegion after already beating Eternal Fire and 3DMAX, we’re pretty sure that we’ll be seeing them do damage in the next stage.
Jee also gave this fantastic interview, so we really do hope they go far and that we can see more.
Elsewhere, M80 and GamerLegion have also shown why they’re two of the more exciting rosters from their respective regions, and SAW have also picked up two solid wins despite their squad undergoing two changes before the event.
NRG look competitive internationally, which is a great sign for NA CS, and even better for Aussie fans, FlyQuest actually won a series. Not just a map, a series.
We know, we can’t believe it either.
Those same Aussie fans will just have to forget about their two other representatives, though. Housebets and Mindfreak both find themselves in the 0-2 bracket.
At least they’re not playing each other, right Aussies?
Yeah, we still expect them to be the first to depart.
