How does an 18 year old already have two regens?

It’s rostermania round up time and boy do we have thoughts.
Some of them are good, some of them are bad, and some of them are downright ugly.
And you know the ugly ones are whatever the f–ck the NA teams have done to themselves.

As expected, NAVI have promoted donk 3.0 to their main roster.
For the uninitiated, donk 3 is makazze. He’s been tearing shit up in tier 2 for a while. We think you’ll like him.
It’s a move that we expect will go well. The standout academy stars have tended to effectively carry over their performances into tier one, but we are sad about the loss of the man he’s replacing.
Although original reports suggested that it would be iM who made way for the youngster, jL has instead decided to step down as he looks to take a break from competition and focus on other things in his life.
Seeing as he just got married and he mentions that a lot in his announcement video, the good Christian men in us are pleased by this, but we will miss one of Counter-Strike’s most lovable characters.
What’s the deal with iM then?
There’s definitely some role overlap with him and makazze, so was he meant to still be on the team? We reckon he probably wasn’t, and it seems like OverDrive thinks he wasn’t meant to be either. Or at least that’s what we’re taking from this report.
If NAVI were after frozen, this almost definitely means they were looking to make two changes.
They were never going to let a star like makazze go. Not without giving him a chance in the main team, and that doesn’t bode well for the team heading into the new season.
The fresh face could turn NAVI’s fortunes around, but their problems in the first half of the year looked like they ran deep. More than just a firepower issue, the chemistry between the players had also seemingly evaporated, and we’re not sure an 18-year-old Kosovan will change that.
At least, if our FACEIT pugs are anything to go off.
So, despite the firepower upgrade that should come with the roster move, we’re expecting much of the same from NAVI for the rest of the year. But we might be entirely wrong, and maybe they’ll stake a new claim for the top in 2026.
After this change, NAVI are:
🇫🇮 Aleksib
🇷🇴 iM
🇺🇦 b1t
🇺🇦 w0nderful
🇽🇰 makazze

So, it looks like our friends across the pond - you know, the ones who are somehow worse at Counter-Strike than they are at geography - have been busy this offseason.
We apologize, that was a bit harsh. We shouldn’t have called them friends.
Well, a team that will quite literally be relying on fr3nd’s calling is Wildcard.
They’ve promoted the Polish AWP-IGL from their Academy roster, alongside Peeping - a name you’ve probably never heard of - to replace phzy and stanislaw in the lineup.
We’ve already weighed in on those benchings in our last edition, so if you want the only correct take, head there. Spoiler: the benchings suck.
As for the new additions, we genuinely don’t see a world where this is an upgrade. This move feels more like Wildcard management scrambling to patch the holes left behind after things fell apart with stanislaw.
Put simply, we’re not very hopeful for this roster - and honestly, we’re not sure even their fans are.
But, as always, NA just couldn’t resist one-upping itself.
When NRG saw Wildcard’s moves, they refused to be outdone. So, in a stroke of pure genius, they made two changes that are somehow even worse.
HexT and oSee were left behind, replaced by nosraC and an empty chair, also known as XotiC.
Again, you’ve probably never heard of these names, so here’s the quick version: NRG signed an (alleged) toxic player who’s never accomplished anything outside NA, and an (alleged) LAN-dodger who hasn’t played for a pro org since 2018. And just to be clear, the last bit for each of them is 100% true.
Our deepest condolences, NRG fans. If there’s even any of you out there.
The only bright spot? HexT managed to escape that dumpster fire and land somewhere he might actually get a chance to shine.
Nevermind, he signed with M80. F–ck. Please, NA you gotta do better.

Besides the most noteworthy changes that we felt were worthy of their own stories, lots of other roster moves have happened that… well, you should at least be aware of.
Let’s dive in:

We will always remember you, magixx.
He’s not dead or anything, but now that he’s benched we imagine it’ll be a little while before we see him in another Major final - and that’s a damn shame, because his Major final performance was legendary.
You can find many a breakdown about why magixx has been cut from Spirit. You can find a lot of people talking about how he had to be cut for months, and you can check the numbers and see for yourself that he’s not played as well as he might have hoped.
He’ll probably admit that himself. magixx, before this version of donk, was a stellar player, but he’s not become the elite player Spirit probably need.
However…
We’d take one Major-winning performance for 100 bad ones. Any day.
magixx might not have been a superstar in the last 18 months, but he showed up in the biggest game of his career and was a big reason why Spirit even won a Major. That is a moment worth celebrating, and when he hangs up the mouse, he can look back on with pride.
Forget talking about the numbers, the every day stuff, why he didn’t fit in, roles, ratings, vibes. Let’s celebrate a guy who, with all the pressure in the world on his shoulders, smiled his way to a Major-winning showing.
So many great players throughout history can’t point to a moment as grand as that.
Spirit will probably be a better team with zweih in his stead. zweih looks like the next one up from a region that consistently pumps out obscene talents, and will invariably be amazing within a year or so.
zweih is seriously talented. He put up a 1.17 rating on Nemiga and was consistently their biggest threat and a large part of the reason they were at all relevant. He’s excellent, and only 17 (younger than donk!), and is objectively a great signing and better than magixx.
But does he have the magic? Only time will tell.
Spirit’s starting five:
🇷🇺 chopper
🇷🇺 sh1ro
🇺🇦 zont1x
🇷🇺 donk
🇷🇺 zweih
