Surely the second, second stint can’t go badly

Apparently if your move to your old team doesn’t go well, you can just move back to your other new team.
Trying new things is woke, we guess.

The Poles just can’t catch a break.
After jcobbb’s departure from Betclic - a team that made headlines at PGL Bucharest with wins over The MongolZ and Astralis - the sharks came knocking once again.
In another bittersweet blow to the Polish scene, this time it’s hypex making the jump, with GamerLegion buying him out to replace Kursy, who they benched right in the middle of FISSURE Playground 2.
On a curious note, this marks the third team competing at FPG 2 to announce changes mid-tournament, with Twistzzz already confirmed to leave Liquid for a return to FaZe.
If that also struck you as a bit odd, the likely explanation probably lies in EPL S22’s roster lock. Sorry to kill the mystery.
Anyway, alongside jcobbb, hypex was the main driving force behind Betclic’s underdog run in Bucharest back in April. The 21-year-old AWPer boasted an impressive 1.08 rating performance on his big event debut.
As with Kursy before him, moves like this are always a gamble. But there’s no denying hypex’s potential, joining GamerLegion with more experience and a stronger profile than Kursy at the time. And if there’s a place for young talent right now, it’s under Ash.
Kursy just seems to be one of his rare misses. During his time with the team, he simply played like sh-t, no two ways about it. The Frenchman struggled to adapt to the massive jump in competition and never managed to find his place in the lineup.
But he just couldn’t go out without a bang, so he just casually dropped a 2.14 bomb right after the announcement.
Then again, does it really mean that much when it’s against an even deader team?
Look, HLTV, we didn’t want to do this. We really didn’t. But we’re going to have to file a lawsuit.
It’s our job to throw shade, not yours.
Team Liquid are 0-2 in the Swiss system at FISSURE Playground - and when you get to the next story this will all make sense - after losing the ‘dead term derby’ as dubbed by the funny guys at HLTV. You’re not meant to be funny, lads. Leave it to us and we’ll avoid doing a ranking system.
They lost to GamerLegion (who as you just found out, are also a dead team) to drop into the 0-2 bracket. Kursy, hilariously, went crazy on map one in a 16-1 win.
They’re joined by Virtus.pro, who have once again been embarrassing. electroNic was a problem.
He was not the problem.
They lost to Astralis, which is appalling. Staehr dropped a 1.66 rating against them. Give it up lads. Jame is cooking on PARIVISION. Get him back and end this rubbish.
Lynn Vision are also 0-2, but they lost to G2 and The MongolZ, which is completely fair enough. HEROIC’s patchy form continues to plague them, as they dropped into the 0-2 bracket after losing to paiN and Legacy.
Not good.
At the other end, in the 2-0’s, it’s exactly the teams you’d expect. jcobbb and rain had a metaphorical fist fight for survival on the team (again, more on that later) as they both went bananas against 3DMAX to put them within one game of playoffs.
Aurora moved to 2-0 over TYLOO, which is encouraging - we’re sick of seeing Aurora not be as good as they can be, and this sort of event is one they absolutely have to do well in. Falcons, unsurprisingly, breezed to a 2-0, also.
FURIA swept G2 to put themselves in pole position for playoffs and continue their impressive run. It turns out adding CIS AWPers works for everyone.
Everyone else is some sort of 1-1. Obviously. That’s how Swiss system works.
Legacy got an eye-catching win over HEROIC, and weren’t completely blown back by Falcons. They might be decent. One to watch, at least.
Tomorrow’s best games are HEROIC vs. Liquid for elimination, yummy, and Falcons vs. FaZe for playoffs. Any time we get to watch NiKo vs. karrigan, we will be there.
We will absolutely be there.

What do you do if your second spell and your old team doesn’t go to plan?
Apparently, you rejoin the team you left to rejoin the team you’re now leaving again to rejoin that team.
Yeah, we don’t know either. Happy Monday.
If you’re unsure what we’re on about, we’re talking about Twistzz. Overtime on Inferno’s least favourite Canadian who will once again be departing Team Liquid in favour of FaZe Clan.
Announced late on Saturday night, despite previous rumours about the move, it actually did come as a bit of a shock.
Given that FaZe only recently signed jcobbb, rumours about Twistzz’s return had gone dry, and the general belief was that they were happy with their team. But apparently not, it seems.
There’s no clue yet as to who he will be replacing, and nothing has been said about who will be heading to Liquid.
jcobbb blacking out his profile suggests it may be him, but that just doesn’t seem right to us. Some are also speculating that karrigan may be retiring and Twistzz will come in as an IGL, which we hope isn’t true, because watching Twistzz-ball is like watching Arteta-ball. Absolutely f-cking miserable.
Honestly? We reckon the departing figure will be rain, the great big eco-fragger who has been a part of the organisation ever since they first entered CS.
It’s been a tough year for the big man, and although he’s improved in recent months, he is getting on a bit. It doesn’t exactly make sense to bench the young fella you’ve just signed to potentially be his long-term replacement.
And so we’re back here, with Twistzz running back to karrigan and FaZe with his tail between his legs. Quite like Paul Pogba with Juventus after his own troubled move back to a former team.
Let’s hope the second, second stint doesn’t end the same way as it did for Pogba, though. He was later banned for doping.
Although, given that we’ve (unfortunately) watched Liquid all year, we don’t think there’s too much risk of that here.
