FaZe are the bank of EYEBALLERS.

CS is finally back, so someone should probably tell NAVI and FaZe. They should probably let JBa and soulfly know, too, they both got off to abysmal starts for their new teams.

We were all treated to an hour long NiKo interview on Wednesday. Or you lot were at least.
Truthfully, we don’t know how much of this was public knowledge prior to the interview going live, but we already knew most of what was said. So, just in case it’s new to you all, let’s break it down.
He discussed his hometown (boring) and then moved onto his transfer to Falcons, covering both the U-turn and the eventual move at the end of 2024. The U-turn is as expected, it was due to the lack of security in terms of Falcons’ ability to play tier one events in 2024, however, he then said that he was always going to leave - mostly down to the fact that G2 didn’t fight to keep him.
We’re sure we’ve heard that line from an ex-girlfriend or two…
Anyway, G2 Manager Peca then put out a “two-sides-to-every-story” type tweet, but Peca, mate, let’s not pretend like G2 didn’t want NiKo to leave. You wanted a team with less egos on it. Which, to be fair to you, you did get in the end. They just have you 12th in VRS instead of somewhere in the top five like you used to be when you had egos.
Okay, maybe that part was insider knowledge. Oops.
He then spoke about convincing m0NESY to join and said that the Baby GOAT was originally unsure about joining due to the tier-one event issue. That was until he realised he still had to listen to Snax and TaZ, and quickly got the f-ck out of there.
kyousuke was the next topic, with NiKo saying that he would only give up his spots for the young Russian and donk: “I don’t think many other players are better than me in those roles.”
Yeah, we won’t argue there.
Finally, NiKo spoke about Falcons’ lack of changes and their hopes for 2026. He even then kept up the lie that Falcons are happy with this team and didn’t try to make changes, and said that “This is definitely the team we will keep for a long time.”
C’mon, mate. We all know that’s a lie. TeSeS is done as soon as he can’t farm the farmers.
He is a good company man, though. Everyone can see Falcons’ role balance problems as clear as day, but he fully backed himself and TeSeS in their roles since kyousuke joined.
Which, we won’t criticise NiKo about his performances, but TeSeS? The bloke in Falcons’ system is like a polar bear in Arlington, Texas. But at least the polar bear is still deadly.
We can’t wait to see how he explains what he really meant in his first interview post-TeSeS benching.

The podcast is back and Jack and Sam are dropping all the juicy info on what did and didn’t happen during Rostermania. They also settle the donk vs ZywOo debate, and take a look into their crystal ball to see what Counter-Strike has in store for us in 2026.

Has a team ever been more “2016 Virtus.pro” than FaZe Clan, right now?
They’ve now lost two series in a row - one was the Major final, and the second was to EYEBALLERS at BLAST Bounty. With a player called ‘bobeksde’ topfragging. And JW playing.
Yes, that JW.
The scary thing is that nobody is surprised about either. FaZe making the Major final barely even shocks us any more, and neither does losing to JW. Yes, this is an online game, but we’re not even sure that matters.
It’s a nice big payday for EYEBALLERS, though, who claim the bounty and move on to almost certainly give it to whoever they play next.
Speaking of which, NAVI managed to lose to a team with some UK influence on it, and we don’t mean Vitality. Despite Aleksib’s hubris (or indeed because of it), Gizmy owned him on map three to deliver an unlikely win to Monte.
rainwaker (AYYY, remember rainwaker?) pulled off a clean 1v3 to close out Mirage, which can’t be a good sign. Again, it’s an online event so we won’t be too scared, but… are NAVI okay?
Liquid started 2026 with a win, which must be a relief, but beating NIP doesn’t really prove anything. They’re the only team who might be bigger bottlers than Liquid.
Astralis beat fnatic in a game that would have been massive like… wow, ten years ago? It didn’t feel massive this time, though.
Vitality and Falcons picked up routine wins over VP and ECSTATIC respectively, and HEROIC had one of the easier wins of the tournament so far over Friendly Campers. No easier than Gentle Mates’ win - Americans actually tried to hype up JBa to M80 for him to get 13 kills against a Spanish team.
(He’s still good, we’re just joking!)
3DMAX continue to underwhelm by losing to Inner Circle, with newsletter fave cptkurtka023 going crazy, Aurora dropped a map to HOTU, FUT 2-0’d OG, and Passion UA lost to GamerLegion in a lose-off.
Spirit and FURIA play today, by the way. We recommend watching.
With FaZe and NAVI both having difficult starts to their year, we want to ask you this:
Following the news that Anubis will be returning to the map pool in place of Train, we asked you: Are you happy to see Anubis return? Here’s what you had to say:
🟨🟨⬜️⬜️⬜️⬜️ 😄 Yes (18%)
🟨🟨🟨⬜️⬜️⬜️ 😕 No (30%)
🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 🥲 Yes, but why -Train? (52%)
