We’re finally getting the craziness we were promised 6 months ago

Rostermania is in full swing, and given how many rumours are already coming out into the open (full list at the end), we have a feeling this one could be a banger.
Some national teams are dying, others may be returning. Meanwhile, massive orgs look to strengthen to push up the rankings, and the French scene is doing some of the most bizarre sh-t we’ve ever seen them do. And that’s saying something.
Oh, and did we mention Cache is back?
You may have seen that we were handing out the second edition of the TLDR magazine during the Major.
We handed out around 7,500 of the f-ckers in boiling Cologne to rave reviews, but we’re very aware some of you who didn’t attend, would also like to be able to get your hands on a copy.
Therefore, if you sign up for our new Speed Reader Pass, you’ll be entered into a giveaway to win one of five physical copies that we’ll send straight to your (real) mailbox.
We’ve had an oddly large amount of positive feedback on the scent of the printed mag, but if you’re not that kinda gal / guy, you can read the online magazine instead.

Monte were one of our favourite teams at the Major.
Not only did they play fun CS - which, impressively, skewed towards the T side for round win rate on every map - the team itself had a great story, with afro, Rainwaker, and Bymas all reviving their careers while representing the Ukrainian org.
Not just that, but they’re led into battle by the English gla1ve, so obviously we’re big fans of Gizmy.
It’s only natural, then, that the team will fall apart immediately after the Major. Because we can’t ever have nice things.
From the looks of things, though, most of the team will be sticking together. A HLTV report states that the quartet of afro, Bymas, Rainwaker, and AZUWU will all be heading to Luminosity, as the NA organisation looks to return to CS for the first time since releasing their Brazilian lineup in 2019.
We’re glad that most of the team will be sticking together, but considering they will reportedly now be IGLed by lux instead of Gizmy, we feel like the redemption arc might be coming to a swift and regrettable end.
Oh well.
As for Gizmy, the Brit isn’t going to be left on his own at Monte; he’s also attracting some big interest.
HLTV are reporting he will soon be on his way to 100 Thieves, where he will take over the IGL role from rain - quite a short-lived arc there, rain - and take the place of Ag1l on the roster.
A benching that is slightly unfair for the Portugeezer, he’s lived up to his end of the bargain as a stellar anchor player, but the T side problems that plague 100T need to come to an end if the team is to climb in the second half of the year.
This does mean there’s a lot of Portuguese players on the market, though…

Five days before kicking off their XSE Pro League 2026 campaign in Guangzhou, China, FaZe have announced their first set of roster changes, moving broky to the bench and bringing in JBOEN on a six-month loan.
Finally, we can rest easy. Our prayers have been answered.
As we’ve all seen, broky’s form has steadily declined over the past few years, and it was just a matter of time before the inevitable happened. That said, we all remember just how incredible broky can be at his best. Hopefully, a fresh start with a new team gives him the opportunity to reset and regain his confidence.
We won’t forget broky friday.
We also didn’t forget about you, jcobbb. The only reason you’re still around is because FaZe need the VRS points. Make sure to learn some Chinese while you’re there buddy, because you’re next.
And to replace broky, who else could it be? The one and only, the infamous, the legendary, the iconic… #193-ranked BIG Academy’s AWPer.
If you truly know ball (read: you haven’t touched grass in years and for some God-forsaken reason actually watch tier 17 online CS), you’ve probably heard the name. The kid has been tearing it up for quite some time over there.
Taking this move at face value, you might be disappointed. We get it. The FaZe Clan that once signed names like NiKo, karrigan, coldzera, and olofmeister is now out here signing Joe Biden and Netanyahu.
But you’ve got to realize this isn’t the same FaZe. This is a phase focused on developing talent rather than chasing the Major title (although it would be nice if they could at least make it there). With that in mind, these signings make perfect sense - even if JBONER’s experience against real opposition is close to non-existent.
Who would've thought? JBOEN to the rescue. We're already sold on the move - if nothing else, the endless amount of jokes we’ll be able to make with this guy’s nickname will be worth it.
Get your tissues for this week’s episode as it’s Jack’s final week on the podcast. He has decided that in order to bring back honour to his bloodline, he must step down after previously telling karrigan to retire.

Given that reports are circulating to suggest kyxsan and ash will soon be signing for Aurora, it seems that the age of the fully-Turkish lineup is over.
We have just one question: Is there even a point?
Look, we’re not saying ash and kyxsan aren’t upgrades on fabre and MAJ3R, they are without a single doubt in our minds. But do they really improve this team to a noticeable degree while the roster still retains its Turkish core? Will they win any trophies?
They aren’t winning in tier one. Not unless they make another roster change.
To be fair, another roster change could very well be on the cards. The original reports from months ago suggested the organisation was targeting Aleksib and molodoy, and although that rumour was obviously always bullsh-t, the new rumours do give credence to the fact it could be woxic on the chopping block.
We’re not sure we’d make that move, though, mostly because top-class AWPers are incredibly hard to find, and woxic is already one of the better players in the role.
We could be moved by a move for gr1ks, though.
Overall, it’s a move we completely understand, but we just don’t think it will move the needle as much as the organisation is hoping for. Wicadia is a top-class player, but XANTARES is past his peak, and both woxic and soulfly, while decent, don’t stand out in their respective roles.
If Aurora want to be truly competitive as an organisation, it’s going to take a lot more than this to get them there, and in the meantime, ash and kyxsan have their work cut out for them to get the remaining Turks used to being on an international team.

Typically, this would be a longer story, but we’re honestly too confused to get our thoughts straight:
G2 have benched SunPayus. For r1nkle.
Yes, that r1nkle.
Listen, we’re all incredibly critical of SunPayus here at TLDR. But r1nkle?! The guy wasn’t good enough for NIP, so what the f-ck is he going to do for a G2 who is trying to be a trophy contender?
A move that’s made even more egregious considering the fact that the org also has kl1m on the books, we’re truly baffled by this one. Come back on Monday for actual thoughts and opinions on the matter.

Cache is officially BACK.
Valve have announced the fan-favourite map will return to the Active Duty map pool on July 6th, a little over seven years after being removed in favour of Vertigo.
The old school classic will be replacing Overpass in the active duty group, with the fact that Overpass is one of the least played maps in pro play, as well as being the least played map in Premier, likely being the reason for its departure.
We’re in two minds about this.
On the one hand, the changes to CS2 regarding smokes should work great in terms of making the map more dynamic, especially on executes. On the other hand, Cache is a very simple map, and Overpass was one of the more tactical maps, having already lost a tactical map in Train this year, Nuke now remains as the only really complex map in the pool, and we find that pretty troubling.
Our hope is that the smoke changes and the ability to blow them up, as well as the removal of skyboxes, are enough to prevent Cache from being the stale, boring map it was before it exited the pool.
However, if it isn’t, we’re in for an absolute stinker that has no place in the modern meta of CS.
Interestingly, though, if you want to know how this will change the pro landscape, this change sucks for Vitality, given how good they were at Overpass. It’s also really good for Falcons, given that Overpass was their perma-ban, so we guess Valve aren’t content at seeing NiKo win just the one Major.
At the end of the day, we’re happy to see Cache back and the fact that we now have another playable map in rotation (Once again, f-ck Vertigo), but we just don’t think Overpass was the right map to cut.
It’s a specialist map where the team who picks it ALWAYS wins it, and it’s not a bad thing to have maps like that in the pool. It is a bad thing to dumb the game down, though, but we’re not sure Valve is aware of that.
Had they removed Inferno, Anubis, or Dust2, though… then we’d be cooking with gas.
🇲🇳 Senzu has officially signed for BC.Game. We have zero respect for him.
🇺🇦 jackasmo has also officially signed for fnatic, leaving everyone asking one thing: hadn’t he already done that?
🇸🇪 KRIMZ has also joined EYEBALLERS, which we’re actually a big fan of.
🇿🇦 Liquid seem to have finally realised siuhy is about as good as leading as any British Prime Minister in the past 10 years, and are targeting JT to replace him.
🇿🇦 He might not be the only leadership change at Liquid, either. The South African wants to bring his long-time collaborator T.c with him.
🇩🇰 And Liquid won’t be the only NA team looking to make a move, as NRG have benched br0 after the Dane realised he can do much better. At least we presume that’s the reason.
🇪🇸 Following the realisation that Spanish CS sucks, Gentle Mates look set to be exiting Counter-Strike. That doesn’t mean it’s the end for Spanish CS, though, as for some reason, three orgs are targeting the team.
🇧🇷 MIBR are also of nqz. From one sh-t Brazilian team to the next.
🇫🇷 Speaking of AWPers transitioning to rifling, 3DMAX have signed Kursy to replace Ex3rcice. Yeah, we don’t get it either.
🇱🇹 In other news, G2 are seeking loan moves for tAk after he impressed while standing in for huNter- earlier this year.
🇹🇷 And finally, FUT seemed to have already found the solution to their lauNX problem: they’re targeting HEROIC’s xfl0ud.
