And we don’t just mean MOUZ

PR is the main talking point this week, and not just because MOUZ have signed him. No, it’s more because there’s too many d-ckheads in the CS scene.
We’re also taking a look at the Esports Nations Cup qualifiers, because TLDR is created by a bunch of European nationalists.

Look, I was once an edgy teenager as well.
I believe shock humour is a first step into the world of trying to be funny for many young people, albeit it is misdirected. Humour in large part inherently rests on surprise, and there are few things more surprising than a random racist slur dropped into a conversation where it’s least expected.
Of course, as we all grew older, we realised there’s a lot more to being funny than just that, and started doing actual funny things - like this newsletter.
Two things differentiate me from the subjects of this story, however. I’m not twelve anymore, and I’m also not a professional Counter-Strike player with thousands of fans.
Normally, stuff like this would be a bullet point for napz to throw into the segment at the bottom, but the fact that all of this happened basically on the same day really shows that you f-ckers all need some media training.
Let’s travel in time. It’s Monday.
My day starts by reading that one of the pillars of NA CS, Fragadelphia’s in-house photographer, Muenster, has had all his equipment - worth a total of $15,000 - stolen from a LAN tournament and has set up a GoFundMe page to help replace it.
A lot of people make donations in a very wholesome moment for the world of Counter-Strike. Another guy is sent into a very public social media meltdown - unprompted.
Those of us who, like me, enjoy spending time in the dark corners of tier two Counter-Strike are very familiar with SportsBetExpert and their CEO Peter "PETE187" Anadio. Yes, he’s one of those weirdos who uses the brand account as a personal account, and it causes glorious drama every single time he logs on.
We highly recommend you have a scroll over your lunch break today.
The day continues until a clip from another backwater Counter-Strike scene surfaces, this time from academy-level Brazilian CS. stormzyn, IGL of MIBR Academy, is in hot water after a dubious post-round celebration involving a prop of a child’s doll on Cache.
He’s later dismissed from the team as a consequence, as the viral clip does laps around the internet. We honestly don’t know what the f-ck he was thinking.
At least my day ends with good vibes, as recently benched Aurora player soulfly shares an inspirational quote on his Instagram story. “The sun will rise again and we will try again”, the caption reads. Good to see his spirits are still up-
Wait… is that who I think it is? And the account is named…
For f-cks sake.
I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he genuinely didn’t spot the Austrian painter in the image and was too drunk to read the very on-theme account name. Even with all that in mind, do you want to find a new team or not?
If you do, get a grip. If you don’t, then check your DMs.
I’m sure chrisJ has sent you some tips.

This is probably the furthest we’ll ever go outside our usual scope, but there’s a neat little tournament brewing on the horizon. This week will host the final qualifiers for the Esports Nations Cup - the cousin of the Esports World Cup, but for entirely national squads - set to be held in Riyadh later this year.
If that’s the first you’ve heard of this tournament, and you’re anything like us, you’ve probably just rolled your eyes at that. WESG, IESF, and now this… when will TOs learn this doesn’t work?
But hold your horses - this one might work.
In short, the Esports Foundation has brewed up a rule set that forbids existing squads from competing in full, forcing them to form cursed mixed teams or bring stand-ins into their usual team dynamics. This being a Saudi Arabian project, of course, also brings with it a hefty bag for all those organisations that let their players go compete.
We know you have World Cup fever right now and immediately started brewing up your own ideal squad selection, but hold your horses. The squads of each country are decided by open qualifiers, and they’ve all just wrapped up.
The regional qualifiers start later today, and if we’re honest, most squads will have zero chance against the squads that actually tried to make a good team. Especially not Luxembourg.
But there are a few gems. The Western Europe qualifier should be dominated by the UK squad, headed up by AZUWU, Gizmy, smooya and CYPHER. It should come as no surprise that Eastern Europe - without Russia, notably - likewise should be an easy win for Ukraine, who take three from fnatic with support from sdy and DemQQ.
And looking over the other regions… those two teams should be in the final.
If things go as they should, ENC - as much as it will be fought in the doldrums of tier two - may become a unique moment in Counter-Strike history.
A UK squad may actually win something.

This week on Overtime on Inferno, we forgot to hit the record button when we did the show. Luckily for you lot, talking about how unbalanced the new MOUZ roster looks is enjoyable enough to do many times over. Shout out Jack and Quacke for running it back.

Seven months later, and PR finally has his move to MOUZ.
Maybe now we’ll finally see a hint of the player he promised to be again.
In one respect, we do feel sorry for him. He had a solid 2025, and his move to MOUZ post-Budapest just never happened for whatever reason, and it’s clear that had an effect on him.
On the other hand, he can go f-ck himself for then being a p-ssy for this year so far.
The reality is that MOUZ need the old version of PR if they hope to push forward, and they need him fast. They’re stagnant right now, and as soon as xertioN’s CT frags inevitably dry up, they’re going to be sailing down sh-t creek without a hope in hell of finding a paddle.
But that just is the problem with MOUZ, isn’t it?
Even if PR works, unless he’s absolutely phenomenal, the issues that will crop up in the future are already beyond apparent.
Spinx doesn’t have enough T side impact, xelex hasn’t exactly impressed - not that we’re that sure he’s to blame - and torzsi isn’t the AWPer he was for most of last year.
They still feel like one or two roster moves away from being the perennial semi-finalists we know and hate.
But who knows, maybe we’re wrong. Maybe PR is about to become ropz 2.0 like he was meant to be. Maybe MOUZ will now become the best team in the world. And maybe, just maybe, one of us will finally get a girl to look at us with anything other than disgust.
There’s a first time for everything, after all.
