Fnatic roster rumour
Hide your girlfriends, stavn is back on the market.
Denmark’s fallen wonderkid is searching for a fresh start after being released by Astralis and officially becoming a free agent.
In his own statement, stavn opened up about stepping away from competition in August to properly process the loss of his brother to suicide back in 2021. After “professional therapy and patience”, he feels ready to get back on the server - and honestly, we’d love to see it.
The past couple of years have undeniably hurt the early legacy of what was once Denmark’s brightest prospect, but let’s not pretend the four consecutive top-16 finishes in HLTV’s Players of the Year happened by accident.
And no, we’re not stavnwashing — he’s been proper sh-t ever since leaving the well-oiled machine that was cadiaN’s HEROIC, let’s get that clear — but he’s already shown the level he’s capable of reaching. Everyone deserves a second chance, don’t you think?
So, where does the 2026 redemption arc begin?
Right after Astralis’ announcement, our first thought was a potential HEROIC return, especially after yxngstxr’s benching. That idea didn’t last long, though, as they quickly announced susp as his replacement.
Realistically, taking a gamble on someone who hasn’t played an official since August is a big ask for any top-10 team. But for squads hovering in the 15-25 range, the risk might just be worth taking.
It seems there’s already a team electing to sign him, that’s if you believe German CS leaks, anyway. That team is fnatic, who are reportedly losing blameF to BIG.
It just makes too much sense, doesn’t it?
