Snax's time as the IGL of GamerLegion has come to an end less than a year after joining following the team's decline in the VRS rankings and the confirmation of their absence at the upcoming PGL Major SIngapore
Everyone hated Snax as the IGL of G2, but early signs with GamerLegion looked like he would redeem himself.
However, after struggling to build upon strong results in the first half of the year, GamerLegion have now benched the Polish icon less than a year after he joined the team.
The decision was made after GamerLEgion became a non-factor even within tier two, with them having zero chance to make the upcoming PGL Major Singapore.
Given that hopes were low for GamerLegion after the departure of ash and their pitiful end tp 2025, they couldn't have gotten much lower when they announced Snax would be their new IGL.
Despite that, early signs were promising. hypex looked like he might finally end the GamerLegion AWP curse under the former Major winner's tutelage, and REZ and Tauson were also showing strong form, too. Even Snax himself was having big impact, so as long as you avoid the fact PR just wanted to get the f-ck out, it all looked like GamerLegion would remain a solid tier one team.
The team would go on to reach the top four in BLAST Rivals Fort Worth, and placed second at IEM Atlanta, two solid results that suggested we'd see a strong performance out of them at the IEM Cologne Major.
Spoiler alert: that didn't happen.
GamerLegion crashed out in Cologne, going 0-3 in Stage 2. Results dipped from that point onwards, and GamerLegion weren't seen close to tier one again until they were eliminated in last place from FISSURE Playground #3 last month.
This decline made changes inevitable, and it was Snax who found his head on the chopping block. Now that his last two stints as an IGL have failed, it feels unlikely that we'll see him again in a serious capacity.
But, at least he can go have fun with the Polish definitely-not-match-fixers.
GamerLegion have since announced that they will be replacing Snax with shalfey, and they will make their debut with him at the RLG Tesla Cup next week.
GamerLegion's roster is now:
