BOROS drama
Poor, poor BOROS.
That not only encompasses our sympathetic feelings towards the Jordanian, but also how Falcons players talk about him.
The organisation released a - actually, very cool, though much of that has been forgotten in the ensuing social media melee - documentary detailing their downfall from behind-the-scenes in the RMR.
So far, so uninteresting.
However, the org made the artistic decision to leave in a couple of scenes where poor BOROS was being lambasted, or as many have been quick to label it, scapegoated by the senior members of the team.
They were angry at him for his decision-making, lack of discipline and supposedly switching mouse and settings during the RMR (which he sort of disputes, saying his old mouse was broken) all of which they felt impacted their chance.
There’s a feeling, and the odd rumour, that BOROS doesn’t take the game as seriously as the other members of the team, and that zonic and Magisk never really wanted him anyway. That last bit is not so much a ‘rumour’ as a ‘well, obviously’.
They were trying to sign NiKo, for crying out loud. If you go out to buy ribeye steak and come back with meatballs, you’re going to be a bit disappointed. Meatballs, like BOROS, aren’t bad, but they aren’t ribeye steak.
The segment of the documentation has now been removed, so you can’t see it in the official video, but you can’t remove anything from the internet fully. Trust us, we’ve tried. 450 newsletters in, at least three of them weren’t 10/10.
It’s not unfair for them to have issues with BOROS, and you never know what was going on behind the behind-the-scenes, but it seems a little… vindictive to then release it to the public. Not from the players, or zonic, who kinda have to have those tough conversations, but from the org.
We don’t think that was the intention, but that’s sort of how it appears.
It’s not just BOROS’ fault they didn’t qualify, but he also could be better.
Let’s just… all take a chill pill, and see how BOROS bounces back. There’s a world where BOROS outplaces Falcons at a big event in the near future and we get some incredible banter.
You wouldn’t want to be too invested to enjoy that.
