Falcons roster rumours
Whether you’re building a skyscraper or a roller-caster, every big project needs foundations.
And Falcons are getting going on their megaproject by signing Magisk, according to HLTV.
He’s following zonic on the gold road from Vitality-Falcons, and can you ask for a better piece of a new sporting project?
Magisk might be the best pure anchor in the world, even now. He’s IGLd before. He’s been a star before. He can be whatever Falcons need from him — and he’ll be excellent at it.
But — and this is true for zonic too — Magisk would be an asset to every single tier one team.
So why has he chosen Falcons? We’ll let you work that one out yourselves.
Up next on Falcons’ shopping list is apparently NiKo, m0NESY, and Snappi.
m0NESY will be the hardest to acquire, on a long-term deal and G2 playing hardball publicly.
Snappi is out of his contract soon, but we’d hate to see him end his bromance with sAw and leave SunPayus and NertZ with bloody nexa. So it’s a press X for doubt on that one too.
But NiKo… here’s where it gets interesting.
KRL reckons that G2 can’t afford to match his current salary in a new deal, and that has made him consider offers.
Falcons, of course, are fairly immune to this ‘esports winter’ thing everyone is talking about. (see: Saudi owned organisation).
And the rumours are only getting fuelled further by G2 pulling out of the CS2 Asia Championship, and failing to match the “we’re not selling him at any price” rhetoric they used for m0NESY in a recent interview.
But if it’s NiKo and Magisk on board, we’re close to the point where it would be less outrageous for Snappi to bail on ENCE — it’s a domino effect, the team getting less and less mickey mouse with every acquisition.
And by signing Magisk, that first domino has come crashing down. Who knows what will come next.
