PGL Cluj-Napoca final recap
As you may have guessed by now, Vitality have won another event.
Realistically, they’re the best team of all time, and considering a Brit is a key part of that, we’re thrilled.
But f-cking hell, when is someone going to beat them?
Another 3-0 win, PARIVISION tried their hardest on Overpass, but a 7-5 T side was a relatively easy conversion for Vitality to take it 13-10.
They also threw a tonne of perverted HEs, so if you’re that way inclined, go check them out.
Dust2 - which was probably PARI’s best chance at a map - was one-sided. A very quick 13-4, everyone on Vitality went positive, while everyone on PARI went negative.
Move on.
Having dusted themselves off, PARIVISION stepped it up a gear on Inferno. Jame pulled off a ninja defuse on round five, and BELCHONOKK fragged throughout, xiELO even took it to OT, too, but there’s just no stopping Vitality.
And yes, ZywOo won the MVP award again. You’d think he’d share one by now, but no, apparently not.
It may sound like Vitality made light work of their opponents, but really, they didn’t. There were a tonne of close rounds on maps one and three, with those maps being a testament for how strong PARIVISION really are.
They’re a real team. They’re not just some fluke roster who managed to grab a McDonald’s Cup at BLAST Bounty - they’re here to stay.
We’ll admit that we were a little worried after their performance in Krakow, because who wasn’t? But this performance has made one thing incredibly clear:
PARIVISION are a lot closer to beating Vitality than MOUZ are.
Who, for what it’s worth, managed to claw back a shred of their dignity by beating The MongolZ in the third-place decider.
Well done, lads, another top four. Put that in the trophy cabinet.
